DQS RECEIVE CUU LONG JACK-UP RIG TO THE DOCK FOR REPAIRING

In the morning of 28/4/2014, at Dry dock No. 1, Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. (DQS) has received Cuu Long jack-up rig of Vietsovpetro for repairing.

Cuu Long jack-up rig has a length of 60.960 m, width 56.692m, height 6.988 m, leg length of 126.346 m, drilling well depth of 3000 m. This is one of the most important rig for exploration and exploitation of oil and gas of Vietsovpetro.

Estimated time of repairing Cuu Long jackup rig is 135 days with main : electrical and automation systems, anti-corrosion painting, hull structure, ballast system, mechanical system, power system, drilling system ... The total value of the contract is about 370 billion VND. Right after the rig arive dock safely, DQS employees perform ventilation, lighting, installation of scaffolding, scraping fouling, washing with water, preservation of materials and equipment ... before  Victory Day 30/4 and International Labor Day 1/5.

In 2013, DQS repaired ahead of schedule, quality assurance the Tam Dao 01, Owner Vietsopetro and the  Mumanskaya, Russia owner. Since early of 2014, DQS has repaired and delivery Hoang Sa vessel ahead of schedule, VSP05 barge VSP for shipowner Vietsovpetro, which proves that DQS master in technology of building and repairing ships, rigs, creating credibility with customers.
