90 peak days of repairing Tam Dao 01 Rig
On March 22th, in Dung Quat Economic Zone (Quang Ngai), Youth Union of Petrovietnam (PVN) in collaboration with Youth Union of Dung Quat Shipyard (subsidiary of PVN) celebrated emulative movement of 90 peak days of repairing Tam Dao 01 Rig enclosed with national level youth work in 2013, to celebrate 82 years establishment of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931-26/3/2013).

Mr. Phan Sy Linh, Deputy Secretary of Youth Union of PVN said: With the best efforts and responsibility of the officials, engineers, workers of Tam Dao 01 the rig and Dung Quat Shipyard, up to now Tam Dao 01 completed repairing as requested. Tam Dao 01 rig has been repaired with safety, quality and efficiency.
Reportedly, the 90-day repairing Tam Dao 01 rig has 547,200 hours of absolute safety, replacing more than 372 tons of steel plate; cleaning and painting more than 76,000 m2, replacement and repairing 30 items of electrical equipment, drilling equipment, 17 equipment clusters, 29 pipe systems, especially high-pressure fluid systems up to 10,000 PSI which was appreciated by the rig owner.
During of competition period, there were many young members, staff have overcome difficulties, hard construction conditions. Many members stay in rig during Tet holiday, strive to complete assigned tasks. DQS engineers and workers team is aware of prospects in the field repairing Tam Dao 01 rig to contribute to the brand name and reputation for project construction contractor of the first time repairing rig successfully.
In the heroic air of youth, the Youth Month in 2013, at the shipyard, repairing Tam Dao 01 rig accompany with Ceremony of national Youth Work Certification for Tam Dao 01 rig to welcome enth national Congress, term from 2012 to 2017. On this occasion, the Group General Director has awarded to 08 teams and 20 individuals with excellent performance during the 90-day competition.
On behalf of the Committee of the Youth Group, Mr. Phan Si Linh warmly praised the officers and members of youth Tam Dao 01 rig, members of Youth Union of Vietsovpetro and Dung Quat Shipyard and the youth Union members on the site.
Evaluation of repairing the rig, Mr. Ha Van Dung, chief of Tam Dao 01 rig said: " At the beginning of construction, rig leaders are worried about repairing rig at Dung Quat shipyard as this is the first time DQS undertaking repair rig. However, over 4 months of working in DQS, we found that the level of staffs and workers become mature, can now perform high technology works. We believe that with the close guidance of DQS leaders through repairing Tam Dao 01 rig, DQS staffs will do all the other rigs of Vietsovpetro ".
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of Petrovietnam, Deputy General Director Nguyen Xuan Son appreciate achievements of DQS officials and workers. He said that the completion the rig in time, quality assurance of Tam Dao 01 rig will create a brand for DQS in the field of repair and building new rigs and ships.
Tam Dao 01 Rig was built in 1988 in Singapore, overhaul and upgrade in 2006 under the supervision of the Vietnam Register. This is one of the most important rig for exploitation of oil and gas of Vietsovpetro. Tam Dao 01 rig has length 64.2m, width 68m, height 8 m, leg length 100.10 m; drilling depth 6000m. The main items repaired in DQS: electrical systems, painting, hull structure, ballast system, mechanical systems, power system, drilling ... The total contract value of about 370 billion.
