The first working day in New year 2014 in DQS

After Tet holiday, at 11h30 on Wednesday, 5th Feb, 2014, in the staff canteen, all staffs and worker  of Dung Quat Shipyard (DQS) held meeting and also the official working day of the company in the year 2014. Attending the meeting are Mr. Ta Duc Tien, Chairman of the company, Mr. Tran Hoai An - General Director of the Company and all staffs.

On behalf of leaders, Mr. Ta Duc Tien, Company Chairman has reviewed some results achieved in 2013. In 2013, the world economy has not yet recovered , Vietnam economy is basically stable but there are still many difficulties that affect significantly to marine industry in general and shipbuilding, ship repairing in particular . Production and business activities of  the Company is not outside such influence. Especially, in the last six months of 2013 backlog of financial investment in construction of DQS has not yet been solved. Besides, change in building and repairing plan of customer has resulted in not achieving the production business plan. In 2013, DQS delivered the 104K crude oil tanker to shipowner PVTrans, repaired the Hoang Sa crane vessel, VSP05 barge, Truong Sa vessel congregation .

In 2014, with many promising signals: repairing dai Hung, new building 02 ships for VSP, building 08 ships for the Iraqi government. Beside the advantages, we shall have many challenges with projects, with increasing requirements of our customers and the general difficulties of the economy, the shipbuilding industry. However,  we believe that with solidarity, enthusiasm, we will overcome all difficulties and will be successful in the business activities, ensure workers have jobs, higher incomes, and more stable.

In the New Year, on behalf of the Board of Directors Mr. Ta Duc Tien, Chairman of the Company sends best wishes to all staffs and their families a new year of health, happiness and wishes for our Company operate  safety, more stable, development.
